It has been a good long while since the last post in here, to inform about all the new fancy things that were implemented on the server. I figured it’s about time to let you know what was added.

News

First of all, a few new worlds were added. In addition to our regular Creative world (/warp SpawnPlot) we created a new Creative world with huge plots, for the more ambitious builds. You can find it at /warp SpawnBigPlot.

We also added a world for minigames and challenges. It is called Dystopia, and there you will find a series of challenges, where you can win prices, that you can use in Survival. The challenges include Mazes and Parkour and more. We are also planning to add a series of both single player- and multiplayer games, in the future. Go check it out at /warp Dystopia

Second of all we added custom Join and Leave messages for all our donators. With that you can have your own funny message, every time you join or leave the server.

Third of all we have added the possibility to pickup spawners and place them again, where you want. This is available when you reach level 10. That way you can make spawner farms anywhere you like!

We have also been building new shops, at /market, where you can buy and sell various goods, depending on you play style.

Pipeline

Right now, we have a handful of things on the board, that we hope to implement on the server, over the next few months.

The biggest and maybe most important, is a server upgrade to MC 1.14, with all the new blocks, animals and other things. This is a long process as we need to make sure all our current plugins will work with the new server version. We are of course working on getting everything set up, so we can make the upgrade as soon as possible.

For that purpose, we have a test server at privat.utopia.us (Note that the server might sometimes be closed for bugfixing), with the latest version (1.14.3, at the time of writing) and hopefully we can get that to work 100%, so we can make the switch soon!

Another task we are working on, is adding new things to Dystopia. We want that to be a world, not only with challenges, but with all sorts of games, from Spleef to Blackjack to Parkour, and many other things. These will be implemented along the way, when they are ready.

We are also planning on hosting various events and competitions in the future, like races, PvP tournaments and build-offs. We will post more information on this, when we get it a bit more organized. Any suggestion for events or competitions are of course very welcome!
